Filip Beneš focuses on personal data protection and privacy, ICT technologies, e-commerce and contracts. When advising clients, he combines his legal knowledge with his IT experience.

Filip supports clients in the development and implementation of new products and projects and in assessing their compliance with privacy and data protection requirements. Filip also supports clients in proceedings before the Data Protection Authority and in the resolution of security incidents. He provides his services to major clients in the automotive, insurance, banking, e-commerce, telecommunications and energy sectors and also leads the Data Protection practice at ROWAN LEGAL.

In the field of ICT law, he provides legal support to clients primarily in connection with innovative approaches to digital processes, such as online onboarding and digital identity. Given his previous experience in programming, he is also responsible for the development of innovative IT projects that facilitate the work of the entire team.

He is involved in providing data protection and privacy advice to a major playerin the automotive sector in the Czech Republic.

He is involved in advising the largest Czech insurance group in connection with ensuring compliance with GDPR obligations, in particular in the development and implementation of new projects, the introduction of new technologies, etc. As partof this activity, he participated, for example, in the preparation of an analysisof the method of signing contractual documentation not only with clients but also with employees during the introduction of “paperless HR”.

He provides comprehensive legal support to a client dealing with shared mobility and digital innovation in the context of its projects.

He provided support in proceedings before the Data Protection Authority against major clients in the insurance, e-commerce, banking and telecommunications sectors.

He provided data protection support to a major owner and operator of water and sewage systems in the Czech Republic.

He advised a Czech banking registry in drafting and negotiating new contractual documentation with banks with respect to transition to a joint data management regime.

He advised the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (one of the largestprocessors of personal data in the Czech Republic) on the preparation of an analysis and subsequent implementation of the GDPR.

He assisted in advising a major banking institution on compliance in the area of payment services.
