Within ROWAN LEGAL, Martin Boroš is a member of the team handling information technology law, personal data protection, intellectual property law, commercial law, the right to operate water supplies and sewerage systems, and financial law.
In the area of information technology law, he focuses mainly on the protection of personal data, ePrivacy, cyber security, the legal aspects of open source and artificial intelligence. In addition, he is involved in developing the know-how and activities of the office in new areas such as: the legal aspects of e-sports and Building Information Modeling (BIM). He was also involved in projects setting up a new corporate structure and the preparation of the related contracts, ensuring conditions for the use of electronic money and setting up contractual functioning in the field of water management assets.
Martin is significantly involved in several projects in the field of energy law. He also participated in projects involving the operation of water management assets, namely in the phase of identification and selection of suitable options for setting relations between owners and infrastructure managers, but also in the phase of implementation of the chosen option, including setting up contractual functioning and other related processes. He also participated in projects concerning the operation of heating infrastructure and in projects for companies in the field of waste management, where he participated in the preparation of the process strategy and submissions to defend the client’s position in various administrative proceedings against the client.
Martin graduated from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University and has practical experience from his previous work in IT companies. Martin is also involved in the development of ROWAN LEGAL’s marketing strategy in the areas he specializes in, including the publication of professional articles.
He participated in the assessment and legal advice for one of the largest telecommunications service providers in relation to the management of classified information and the possibility of handling this information (2018).
He participated in providing legal advice on the requirements of cyber security legislation for a major self-governing body (2018).
He participated in the preparation of a BIM Protocol for a Contract for Work in the case of a public contract for the reconstruction of the buildings of a major Czech contracting authority (2019).

As part of a project for a leading Czech energy company, he participated in the implementation of GDPR requirements in the company’s processes, including providing consultation and preparing sample documentation covering customer, employee, and other relationships. He also provides ongoing advice to this company.

As part of a project for a major Czech state-owned enterprise, he is participating in the implementation of GDPR requirements in the company’s processes, including the preparation of a set of internal and external documentation. He is still currently working on this project.

As part of a project for a major owner and operator of water supply and sewerage systems, he is participating in the revision of the existing contracts governing the use of water management assets and the review of other related documentation. In addition, he is involved in a project assessing sludge management as a result of stricter legislative requirements. He is still currently working on these projects.

He participated in legal consultancy in the field of software protection for a Czech development company, including ad hoc questions regarding the license terms of use of this software (2019).
