Tomáš Kasalický is a final year student at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. During his studies, Tomáš is focusing on the intersection of ICT law, banking and financial law: he has enrolled in the specialization modules: “Corporate Finance and Fundamentals of Managerial Decision-Making” and “ICT Law” and wrote several works on the intersection of IT and financial law, for which he has received awards from the Czech National Bank.
As a member of the team of the law firm ROWAN LEGAL, he uses his knowledge of information technology and law, especially in designing and applying suitable solutions in the field of banking and financial law, focusing primarily on the legal aspects related to the implementation of innovative solutions in FinTech, including the use of DLT, cryptoactive and artificial intelligence.
Tomáš has experience in the regulation of payment services in the implementation of the requirements of the PSD2 directive, services in the field of capital markets, investment funds, fulfillment of obligations by obligated persons in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing (AML), but he also participated in the unique EIA Blockchain project and in providing comprehensive legal advice to a major Czech hosting service provider.
Tomáš actively participates in the development of the office’s PR strategy towards students of faculties, especially within the UNIque law project.
