Two lawyers from our Dispute Resolution and Arbitration team have placed at the Arbitration Future Leaders 2020 ranking, jointly organized by Who’s Who Legal and GAR (Global Arbitration Review). Miloš Olík, one of our partners, was again included in the partners’ list and Michal Čáp, Senior Associate, was again included in the –non-partner’s list. The Future Leaders awards are given annually by this London-based institution that has been involved in researching the legal services market for a long time and independently evaluating providers. It is considered one of the most reliable sources of information on the legal services market in more than 100 countries and is the official research partner of the International Bar Association.
Miloš Olík is the head of the dispute resolution practice at law firm ROWAN LEGAL. Miloš is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). His practice focuses on arbitration proceedings, investment disputes, international commercial arbitration and various forms of alternative dispute resolution (mediation, negotiation). Miloš has extensive experience in arbitration proceedings, as both counsel and arbitrator, under the rules of various institutions, for instance the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the Swedish Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic (Czech Arbitration Court), the Court of Arbitration of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the rules of the UN Commission on International Law (UNCITRAL). He has led legal teams representing parties in investment disputes and multinational corporations in international commercial arbitration.
Michal Čáp is a Senior Associate at ROWAN LEGAL. Michal specializes in the field of international arbitration and dispute resolution, and he also represents clients before the Czech courts. Michal is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and is the Vice-Chair of the CIArb European Branch. He is also a member of the Commission on International Arbitration of the ICC Czech Republic. Michal has been working from Hong Kong since August 2019. He is included in the list of arbitrators of the Czech Arbitration Court, VIAC (Vienna) and the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA). He is a member of the Council of Arbitrators of the Football Association of the Czech Republic and is also a member of AFIA (Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration).
