Miloš Olík has recently been elected chairman of the Commission for International Arbitration of the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic (ICC). Following his appointment, he presented his plans as chairman: “One of my main goals as chairman is to achieve greater involvement of ICC members in international arbitration. I would like to see this topic open up in the Czech Republic. I am therefore planning to hold conferences, seminars and workshops where we can share our experience and at the same time seek new ways of enhancing the use of arbitration in this country.”
Miloš Olík is one of the leading Czech arbitrators and has already presided over more than a hundred arbitration proceedings. He is registered as one of the arbitrators of the Czech Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic, and some of the world’s leading institutions (CIETAC, LCIA, VIAC and HKIAC). Miloš Olík is the chairman of the Board of Arbitrators of the Football Association of the Czech Republic and a member of many other professional associations and organizations. He is also actively involved in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Divisions of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris.
