Prague, 27 November 2025 – ROWAN LEGAL has once again confirmed that it is rightfully among the best providers of legal services on the Czech market in the Law Firm of the Year competition. The firm scored three victories to its credit. The awards in the categories of Information Technology Law and Intellectual Property can be considered traditionally strong disciplines, but the third triumph is an extraordinary achievement. For the first time ever, the firm also won first place in Environmental Law for a team led by partner Vilém Podešva.
Environmental law for the first time in history
The prestigious Law Firm of the Year award for this year was announced on the evening of 26 November 2025, this time at the Municipal House in Prague. It was the 18th edition of this event of importance for the domestic legal community, which includes a total of 21 classic and 5 special categories. The organizers this time were EPRAVO.CZ magazine, the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic and the Czech Bar Association. This year ROWAN LEGAL won in three categories – Environmental Law, Information Technology Law and Intellectual Property. In fifteen other categories it was highly rated as a Highly Recommended Law Firm.
A major achievement for ROWAN LEGAL is the victory in the Environmental Law category. This is the first time the firm has achieved this top ranking, which shows that its team is constantly expanding its profile focus. In this area, the firm provided comprehensive environmental law advice, particularly in the context of projects in the energy, water, heating and waste management sectors. It also provided legal support in permitting processes related to infrastructure and energy construction. Clients in this area included Škoda Auto, Severočeská vodárenská společnost, Ředitelství silnic a diaľnic (Road and Motorway Directorate) and Teplárny Brno.

Intellectual property – back in the spotlight
