ROWAN LEGAL contributes to the Data Protection & Cyber Security 2019 Guide issued by Chambers & Partners
ROWAN LEGAL, representing Czech republic, prepared in cooperation with prestigious international agency Chambers & Partners practical guide to the area of personal data protection and cyber security. Lawyers of ROWAN LEGAL, together with lawyers from other jurisdictions, created this valuable, annually issued comparative publication.
Practical guide deals with individual questions both as regards new legislation set out in GDPR and legislation set out in national legislation (including the Electronic Communications Act or the Law on Some Information Society Services). In the publication, authors comment interpretation of sensitive data and other categories of personal data, deal with the issue of online marketing and solve legal consequences of data transfer within international environment. Authors pay attention to current topics from the area of modern technologies, dealing automated decision making, profiling, big data analysis, drones or processing biometric data.
As to the cyber security, publication contains basic overview of legislation set out in the Cyber Security Act, regulation eIDAS, GDPR and other regulation. From the perspective of this regulation, authors comment particular questions from the area of cyber security, for example the question of reporting security incidents.
