ROWAN LEGAL significantly strengthened. Public procurement, competition and IT law expert Marcela Káňová joins as partner

Prague, April 3, 2023 – Marcela Káňová has become a new partner at ROWAN LEGAL. She will focus on the development of relationships with clients from the public and private sector, both on a legal and strategic level.

Marcela Káňová is an experienced legal expert in public procurement and competition issues. She also focuses on IT law and cyber security matters. She has significant experience in representing clients in proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition, the European Commission, and the courts, as well as experience in managing large and complex projects.

Marcela Káňová further has extensive experience in business development. In addition to this, she has also held a senior position at the Office for the Protection of Competition and a partner position at a multinational IT corporation, from which she is returning to the dedicated legal environment. She is a member of the Disputes Committee of the Chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition and the Disputes Committee of the Director of the National Cyber and Information Security Agency. She is also an active member of the expert team for the digital economy of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and is regularly engaged in publishing and lecturing activities.

Marcela Káňová is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University and Charles University. During her studies she completed study stays at the University of Innsbruck and in Rome. In addition to Czech, she speaks German, Italian and English.
