Jaroslav works for law firm ROWAN LEGAL as Counsel, where he is one of the leading experts in dispute resolution. Jaroslav specializes in significant disputes, where in cooperation with other ROWAN LEGAL teams (especially IT / IP and transaction teams) he provides clients with unique advice combining high expertise in substantive law with deep knowledge of the judicial system in the Czech Republic.
He joined the law firm in 2017 after working for several international law firms. Jaroslav graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno, where he obtained a master’s degree in 2007. Since 2011 he has been a member of the Czech Bar Association.
During his career, Jaroslav has participated as a legal advisor in several arbitrations according to ICC rules, in international investment arbitrations and has significant experience with arbitration in general. Jaroslav specializes in dispute resolution and has extensive experience in representing clients before the Czech courts, including the Supreme, Supreme Administrative and Constitutional Courts.
He is involved in representing the Capital City of Prague in disputes arising from the Opencard project.
He leads a team providing legal services to a significant provider of hosting services in its disputes with organizations representing copyright owners.
He successfully represented Matěj Tóth in international disciplinary proceedings before the Disciplinary Board of the Slovak Athletic Federation, because Matěj was accused by the IAAF of blood doping.
He is representing an important multinational bank in its disputes related to claims arising from an alleged breach of the regulations against the legalization of profits from criminal offences.
