Jiří Mňuk is a recognized expert in competition law and public regulation.

At ROWAN LEGAL, he leads the team specializing in competition law and has extensive experience handling complex cases before both the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition and the European Commission.

He advises clients on all areas of competition law.

He has experience with proceedings before both the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition and the European Commission, covering classical cartels, complex agreements requiring detailed assessment of competitive effects, and intricate cases of abuse of dominance.

In merger control, he has handled managed cases before both authorities,

including complex Phase II reviews, commitments to maintain effective competition, and notifications under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR). He also handles the most complex damages claims for breaches of competition law in the Czech Republic and regularly advises clients on state aid matters and European Commission assessments.

In addition, he coordinates cross-border legal services in complex transactions requiring competition and regulatory notifications in the EU and globally.

He also works on infrastructure and transformational projects in the energy and telecommunications sectors. Jiří graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University and from University College London (LL.M. with a specialization in competition law). In 2023, he co-founded the Competition Law and Regulation Association. He is recognized by Legal500 as a Leading Associate in EU and competition law. He serves on the Board of the Competition Commission at ICC Czech Republic, is the author of numerous professional publications, and frequently speaks at conferences.
