Prague, 20 March 2025 – ROWAN LEGAL has been elevated from Band 3 to Band 2 in the prestigious Chambers Europe 2025 rankings for Dispute Resolution, highlighting the firm’s professional excellence in this important specialization. The new awards went to partners Vilém Podešva, Miloš Olík and Vladimír Hedjuk. The most promising “Associate to Watch” was senior associate Anna Cervanová.
In addition to its new awards, ROWAN LEGAL successfully defended all of its rankings from last year in key categories in the Chambers Europe 2025 rankings. For the ninth time, the firm secured a top Band 1 ranking for its services in TMT (technology, media and telecommunications) law. It also scored high marks from the expert jury in the compliance and competition law segments, where the firm was ranked in Band 2. ROWAN LEGAL maintained its Band 3 positions in intellectual property law, tax law and energy projects. A notable achievement came from the firm’s Dispute Resolution team, which advanced from Band 3 to Band 2.
“I see our move from Band 3 to Band 2 as confirmation that our clients recognize our continuous improvement in this area, which makes me and my colleagues truly happy,” said Miloš Olík, partner at ROWAN LEGAL and head of the Dispute Resolution team. “It’s a great responsibility, as it is primarily through our submissions and appearances that the courts form their impression of those we represent.”
In addition to maintaining the firm’s strong overall rankings, this year’s Chambers Europe also highlighted the achievements of individual partners and attorneys who excelled in their respective fields. For the first time, three ROWAN LEGAL professionals were recognized. Tax partner Vladimír Hejduk and partner and competition law expert Vilém Podešva were both ranked in Band 3, while associate Anna Cervanová received the prestigious “Associate to Watch” award. This distinction is granted to individuals who are key experts in their practice areas and make a significant contribution to the firm’s professional development.
“I see our inclusion in the Chambers rankings as a great honor and confirmation that our approach to handling complex competition law cases is delivering results,” said Vilém Podešva, partner at ROWAN LEGAL. “Competition law is a highly complex field requiring the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges. It’s also intensely competitive, so you need to be constantly alert and have the ability to stay one step ahead. That’s why I believe we will continue to remain at the forefront and set high standards for the provision of legal services in this area.”
“I joined ROWAN LEGAL in 2018 and have gained a wealth of valuable experience, especially in compliance, competition and energy law,” said Podešva. “Being named in one of the most prestigious international rankings is a reflection not only of my personal success, but also of the collective success of all my colleagues at the firm. Above all, I am pleased to see growing attention from our partners toward the sectors I specialize in. These areas are viewed as high-profile within the firm, and I am proud to contribute to the further improvement of our client-focused services.”
Partner Miloš Olík also earned recognition in the individual categories, newly securing a Band 4 ranking in Dispute Resolution. His name continues to appear prominently across multiple categories – just as in the previous year, he retained his Band 2 rankings in the DR Arbitration Counsel and DR Most in Demand Arbitrators categories. These distinctions reflect his achievements in out-of-court dispute resolution, arbitration and international arbitration. Other partners also maintained their rankings, namely Josef Donát (TMT – Band 1), Michal Nulíček (TMT – Band 2 and Compliance – Band 2) and Jan Tomíšek (TMT – Band 3).
The renowned British ranking company Chambers and Partners annually publishes two prestigious rankings, which are among the most respected of their kind in the world. Their high reputation is based primarily on the expertise of the ranking panel and a careful methodology focused on client experience and feedback, which the company also collects from competing law firms. The data collected in this way is then subjected to thorough analysis.
ROWAN LEGAL is consistently listed among the top firms in these rankings. With over 30 years of experience in the market and a team of more than 90 lawyers, the firm operates from offices in Prague and Brno. Its clients include small companies, global groups, public institutions and individuals. Thanks to its network of partner law firms, ROWAN LEGAL can provide top legal services in more than 100 countries. It is an exclusive member of the global MULTILAW network and a founding member of the Horizons Alliance, which covers the CEE region.
