1.11.2021, Prague. On 1 November, the 14th annual Law Firm of the Year Awards, which are regularly held by epravo.cz under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice and the Czech Bar Association, were announced at Žofín Palace. It was great to meet again in person after last year, when the gala had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.

This year, industry awards were allocated in a total of 20 categories and ROWAN LEGAL placed in 16 of them, including 3 wins, the highest awards achieved. ROWAN LEGAL was named Law Firm of the Year in the areas of Information Technology Law (11th time), Dispute Resolution and Arbitration and Logistics and Transportation Construction. For the third year in a row, ROWAN LEGAL takes home 3 wins, and this only confirms the ever-increasing quality of our services and our desire to always go one step further in supporting our clients.

“We are very happy about the 11th award for IT law and it only confirms that we have been providing the highest quality service in this area for a long time. It is also a commitment and motivation for us in the future in our efforts not to slack off but to rise ever higher. Innovation never stops, on the contrary, I feel that development is becoming more and more dynamic”, commented Josef Donát, partner of the firm and one of the foremost experts in IT law on the Czech market, on the 11th IT law award. During the existence of the competition, the category has been included 12 times and ROWAN LEGAL has won it 11 times. This result clearly demonstrates ROWAN LEGAL’s dominance in this area.

In addition to IT, ROWAN LEGAL also boasts one of the largest litigation teams on the Czech market with the widest range of services – from litigation, administrative disputes, and criminal disputes, to arbitration and mediation. Only a handful of law firms on the market can offer this. Therefore, it is not surprising that ROWAN LEGAL has won awards in this area and was named Law Firm of the Year 2021 for dispute resolution and arbitration. “This is the second time in the history of the Law Firm of the Year awards that we have won the award in the area of disputes. Although the legal profession is moving in many modern directions and dealing with new disciplines, we still consider dispute resolution to be a kind of royal discipline and we greatly appreciate the award. It proves our competence in dispute resolution and at the same time our ability to combine that with erudition in a range of fields, from construction to technology to personal data.” commented JUDr. Martin Janoušek, a partner at ROWAN LEGAL, in relation to the win.

ROWAN LEGAL also won the third highest award in the Logistics and Transport Construction sector. Transport infrastructure is a key component and condition for a functioning economy. At ROWAN LEGAL we are aware of this and the award in this category is a recognition of our expertise, complexity and high level of our services,” stated Mgr. Lukáš Sommer, a partner at the firm.

We would like to thank the organizers for providing the ranking and the expert jury for the excellent evaluation. However, the biggest thanks go to our clients who trust us and to our colleagues who continuously work to ensure that our services are always of first-class quality and meet the highest demands of our clients. It is a great honor for us that we have been creating value together for more than 30 years.

The team at ROWAN LEGAL has 9 partners. Our offices in Prague, Brno and Bratislava employ more than 100 associates, including more than 70 legal experts.
