Long-term client
We provided comprehensive legal support to our client, obe of the most prestigious architectural firms in the world, for their participation in the architectural competitions for the design of the New Main Railway Station in Brno and the "Vltava Philharmonic" commissioned by the City of Prague.
We conducted preliminary market consultations and subsequently managed the comprehensive administration of the public contract "Trains and Transport System Automation of Line C and the new Line D", awarded through competitive dialogue. In terms of value, this is one of the largest projects in the Czech Republic in recent years, exceeding CZK 85 billion.
We provided comprehensive legal support for the implementation of the contract to construct part of the new metro line D in Prague, specifically the first section from Pankrác to Olbrachtova, including both construction and related geomonitoring. The value of the contract exceeds CZK 15 billion.
Successful representation of the contracting authority in several objection proceedings and subsequent administrative proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition as well as in court proceedings related to a public contract for the construction of the first section of the newly built Prague metro line D between the Olbrachtova and Nové Dvory stations. The public works contract, awarded through an open procedure, had an estimated value of approximately CZK 23 billion, excluding VAT.
Successful representation of the contracting authority in objection proceedings and related administrative proceedings before the Public Procurement Office concerning public contracts for the provision of geomonitoring and passporting for the construction of the Prague metro line D in the Olbrachtova - Nové Dvory and Pankrác - Olbrachtova sections.
Representation in a series of administrative proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition and in subsequent court proceedings concerning a ban on the performance of a contract for the management of public lighting in the City of Prague concluded based on vertical cooperation.
Legal advisory services to the contracting authority in proceedings on repeated objections and subsequent administrative proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition in the matter of a public contract for the construction of the Justice Complex in Ústí nad Labem, with an estimated value of CZK 2 billion.

Legal advisory services to the client in connection with the handling of objections and the subsequent proceedings before the Office for the Protection of Competition in the first and second instance in connection with the construction of the section of the D11 motorway between Trutnov and the state border of the Czech Republic/PR, at a value of approximately CZK 12 billion, excluding VAT. The Office for the Protection of Competition confirmed the correctness of the contracting authority's procedure.
Legal advisory services in connection with setting up a suitable model for tendering and implementation of public procurement for winter and routine maintenance of selected sections of motorways and class I roads in the Czech Republic for 8 years. Value: approx. CZK 20 billion excluding VAT.
As a result of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the war conflict in Ukraine and generally rising prices in the construction industry, we developed a comprehensive methodology for updating the prices of tendered works for our client - the largest water company in the Czech Republic. This methodology, while strictly observing the rules and limits of the ZZVZ, enabled the completion of a number of the client's construction works, which otherwise undoubtedly could not have been implemented in the specified quality and time.
Comprehensive representation of the contracting authority in complaint proceedings, administrative proceedings initiated by the Office of the Public Prosecutor on its own motion, and court proceedings. These cases involved a review of the contracting authority's procedure for awarding public contracts for the renewal of water management infrastructure with respect to the division of contracts. The contracting authority's procedure, which included a media plan identifying the relevant media part of the tender conditions, was found to be in compliance with the law.
